How to build the Pumkin City subway:
We started with the NYC subway kits
from ImagesReplicas. John put them
together and painted them blue. Irene took a piece of ridged clapboard from
Pearl Paint, cut it to size and painted it to use for the stairway. She then
glued the subway rail and stair to a plastic sidewalk piece she had cut, painted
and applied sidewalk tape to earlier.
Then John drilled a hole over which
the subway would be placed.

Bingo! We have a subway that really goes
down, and which will have a light illuminating the stairway - once the
electric is connected. July 14, 2002.
